Djurhandlarn

[Private PROJECT]

Djurhandlarn was a poster design experiment based on the Swedish saying “bättre en kråka i näsan än tio i skogen”, a playful twist on a familiar proverb. The goal of the project was not to create a polished commercial piece, but rather to test how a fun simple image could be transformed into a bold, expressive design.

My goal was to communicate aggression and unease through “screaming colors”, bright, clashing tones of magenta and deep blue that demand attention. The distorted face and concentric patterns amplify the chaos and energy, giving the piece a raw, confrontational tone. The design became a study in emotional impact and visual tension, showing how color and composition alone can convey attitude and personality.

Rather than aiming for balance or harmony, Djurhandlarn focuses on emotional tension and visual noise — a study in how color, typography, and contrast can evoke instinctive reactions.
